Contemporary Elegance

In our rushed world, where “off-the-shelf” and “good enough” are too often a weak substitute for unique artistry and true craftsmanship, we sometimes underestimate what a difference skilled hands can make. 
Such hands belong to the Borelli family. 
Three generations of builders began when grandfather Vincent passed along his knowledge to his son, Mark, who in turn gave it to his son, Parker, who now serves as partner in the family business, Borelli Construction of Naples. The trio can point to more than 40 years of experience in building spectacular homes in Southwest Florida, yet only accept a limited number of projects a year.
“We listen carefully to our clients and are very hands-on,” explains Parker Borelli. “From the original design until we hand over the keys, we are right there for our clients, on-site everyday, lending our eye for design, our concentrated attention and our years of experience to help turn our clients’ visions for their home into reality.”
The result of such personal attention to detail is a portfolio of stunning homes. One of the most recent is the model Borelli created at The Estuary at Grey Oaks. 
“We put a transitional modern twist on West Indies architecture, streamlining the design but retaining the use of stone, towers, and other accents, combining these traditional elements with a more contemporary look,” says Borelli.

Glowing Elevation

This 6-bedroom, 8 full-and 2-half bath home has 9,230 square feet under air, including an attached guest house, and is built on an expansive one-acre cul-de-sac lot backing to the lake and golf course in The Estuary at Grey Oaks. A five-car garage motor court is accessed via a porte cochère and a mix of tropical palms and tall oaks flank the home’s towering façade, which is attractively lit to evoke a softly glowing evening atmosphere.

Crisp & Clean

French doors and a chair rail add traditional elements to the great room, furnished with contemporary pieces. Natuzzi leather settees and twin armchairs surround a marble-topped coffee table by Stone International. A custom built-in, designed by Borelli’s in-house cabinetry artisans, houses the TV. Large transom windows light the scene. The walls, painted with a grey blend made by Borelli with Sherwin Williams paints complement the Asian Statuary marble floor topped with a royal blue custom rug.

Custom Touches

The vaulted kitchen features soaring 17 foot ceiling - one of the benefits to not having second story above. The angled transom windows add another custom touch and flood the space with light. The backsplash and counter, created from a slab of Carrera Statuario marble, complements the custom cabinets finished in Sherwin Williams Hearthstone. The Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances are a chef’s dream. An island, clad in white marble by Luxor Stone serves as both prep space and a place for guests to perch on ivory Italian leather and chrome stools. The breakfast nook has room for six at the Natuzzi weathered grey wooden table with its frosted glass insert reflecting the light of the chrome and glass chandelier above.

Elevated Style

A seating group covered in chalk white cotton with walnut accents and a matching table, all by Ralph Lauren, offer comfortable seating in the formal living room. Twin Bernhardt chests, with glass and parchment column lamps, sport metal filigree flowers and flank the linear gas fireplace with Mystery White marble surround. Commissioned artwork by a local artist anchors the right side of the room while the left hosts a floating white oak staircase with glass panels and stained oak railing.

Suite Luxury

The coffered ceiling of the master bedroom hosts a “Flyte” Minka ceiling fan. Beneath, the Bernhardt bed, upholstered in grey wool and banded in nickel, rests on a Legno Bastone French White Oak “Roma” floor. The weathered grey nightstands and chest are also by Bernhardt, as is the silver leather stool at the bed’s foot. Lighting is provided by a pair of smoked glass lamps on the nightstands and two column lamps atop the bureau.

Light-filled Elegance

An oasis of soothing neutral tones and natural light, this master bath (one of two) has walls of custom cabinetry with nickel hardware, countertops of Calacatta marble, Kohler fixtures, and a freestanding Jacuzzi tub. Louvered shutters by Coastline filter the light shining onto the squares of the grey marble floor, which features a white Thassos marble inlay. One of the countertops creates a perfect vanity table served by the leather and chrome chair on casters.

Floridian Oasis

A glass tile pool with spa and sun shelf takes pride of place on the shell stone deck at the rear of the home. A covered lanai with double facing fireplace, living area and outdoor kitchen benefits from motorized screens and shutters in inclement weather. Chaise lounges by Jardin De Ville offer relaxing places to tan in between dips and a pair flowerpots marks the door leading to a pool bath with whirlpool spa for après- swim relaxation.
